MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621082565 A) filed by Hle Glascoat Limited on July 04, 2026, for Improved Hydrodynamic Mixing System For Glass-Lined Batch Reactor.
Inventors include Ishant Jain; and Nitin Noutiyal.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: IMPROVED HYDRODYNAMIC MIXING SYSTEM FOR GLASS-LINED BATCH REACTOR The present disclosure relates to a hydrodynamic mixing system (100) for glass-lined batch reactors used in chemical processing. The mixing system (100) includes a reactor vessel (102), an agitator impeller (106) disposed within the reactor vessel (102) and configured to drive liquid circulation therein, and at least one integral perforated rib (108) formed on an inner wall surface of the reactor vessel (102) and extending radially inward therefrom. The integral perforated rib (108) has a plurality of perforations (110) extending therethrough and is configured to redirect liquid flow into hydrodynamic dead zones of the reactor vessel (102). The mixing system (100) eliminates hydrodynamic dead zones through contour-driven flow redirection and perforation-driven micro-jet injection, reduces baffle-induced shear, and achieves power-neutral operation without external power consumption for baffle operation.
