The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a probiotic and dextranase pretreatment method for improving microbial stability and yield of sugar syrups (e.g. molasses) without using thermal, chemical or antimicrobial pretreatment. Pretreated sugar syrup is applied in a continuous ethanol fermentation using at least two fermenters for dilution from one to next to maintain steady state ethanol concentration, resulting in ethanol productivity improvement as well as reduction in energy and water usage compared to traditional ethanol plants, without affecting quality and quantity of the end products.
