MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641115364 A) filed by Sri Eshwar College Of Engineering on September 24, 2026, for Ignus A3d - Real Time Monocular Depth Estimation And Obstacle Detection System With Voice Alerts And Path Tracking For Adas Applications.

Inventors include Dr. S. Saranya; Ms. Devadharsini Sivakumar; and Mr. A. S. Ajendra.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The Ignus A3D is a cutting-edge method of autonomous navigation and low-cost driver assistance that combines path tracking, object detection, and monocular depth estimation to improve safety and situational awareness. The system uses a single camera and deep learning models like Depth Anything V2 or MiDaS v3.1 to create precise depth maps that are then fused with YOLOv8 detections to detect obstacles and determine their distances in real time. Effective path prediction is made possible by a DeepSORT framework with Kalman filters, which guarantees reliable identity assignment and seamless trajectory tracking of moving objects. In addition to optional LED and buzzer alerts for extra safety feedback, the system includes a voice alert module powered by VOSK that provides instant spoken warnings like "Obstacle detected at 2 meters." Ignus A3D's fleet coordination capability is one of its specialties; it enables synchronized navigation and collision avoidance by enabling multiple vehicles to share obstacle and path data via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Ignus A3D was created as a low-cost substitute for LiDAR-based systems. Its combination of affordability, scalability, and real-time responsiveness makes it appropriate for use in robotics, ADAS, smart mobility, and coordinated fleet operations.
