Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an ignition switch (100) with integrated multicable actuation mechanism including a switching mechanism for unlocking one of a fuel tank lid lock unit or seat lock unit of a vehicle. The ignition switch (100) has main body (102) mounted with a top cover (104). The top cover (104) is defined with cutouts adapted to receive a first button (106) and a second button (108) respectively. The switching mechanism includes two levers which are independently actuated by pressing of first button (106) and second button (108). A user may press either the first button (106) or the second button (108) to facilitate unlocking of fuel tank lid lock unit or seat lock unit, respectively. The mechanism associated to unlock fuel tank lid and seat of the vehicle are housed inside a single unit, which provides a compact assembly and requires less packaging space.
