Abstract: HydroDetect : IoT Enabled Textile Effluent Monitoring System The present invention relates to HydroDetect – an IoT-Enabled Textile Effluent Monitoring and Purification System, designed for continuous monitoring and management of wastewater generated from textile dyeing and processing activities. Textile effluent contains varying levels of dissolved substances and other pollutants, making timely monitoring of wastewater quality essential for effective treatment and responsible discharge. The proposed system comprises an inlet monitoring unit and an outlet monitoring unit integrated with an ESP32 microcontroller and IoT communication capability. The monitoring units acquire important water-quality parameters, particularly pH and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), along with flow-related information. The collected sensor data is processed by the ESP32 and transmitted to an IoT-based monitoring platform for centralized observation and record management. HydroDetect enables the comparison of inlet and outlet wastewater conditions, allowing the effectiveness of the treatment process to be observed through measured parameter values. The system maintains historical monitoring data and provides an alert mechanism when monitored values exceed predefined threshold levels. A monitoring dashboard presents the collected information in an accessible form, supporting continuous observation and facilitating timely action when abnormal wastewater conditions are detected. The invention provides a practical approach for improving textile effluent monitoring, treatment-process observation, data recording, and compliance-oriented wastewater management. By combining sensor-based measurement, embedded processing, IoT communication, data storage, alerts, and dashboard visualization in a unified system, HydroDetect supports more efficient and transparent monitoring of textile wastewater quality.
