MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113152 A) filed by R. M. D. Engineering College on September 21, 2026, for Hybrid: Solar-Wind Energy Monitoring And Management System.

Inventor includes Dr. J. Sumithra.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-enabled hybrid solar–wind energy monitoring and management system integrating renewable energy generation, intelligent battery charging, embedded monitoring, data logging, and remote supervision. The system combines a solar photovoltaic source and a wind energy source to provide renewable electrical energy for battery storage. A PWM charge controller regulates battery charging and automatically transitions from bulk charging mode to float charging mode upon detection of a predefined full-charge condition. An ESP32 microcontroller acquires solar voltage, wind voltage, and battery-related information through analog voltage sensing modules. The monitored parameters are locally displayed through an LCD module and stored on an SD card with timestamps generated by a real-time clock for offline record keeping. The ESP32 uses integrated Wi-Fi connectivity to transmit monitored information to a Blynk cloud platform for remote mobile-dashboard monitoring. A buck converter provides regulated power to control circuitry. The system is applicable to rural electrification, remote monitoring stations, off-grid systems, and smart energy applications.
