Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid UAV with a recuperator engine, heated capsule, and wing anti-icing system for unmanned aerial vehicles that harnesses waste heat from the engine exhaust to perform dual functions: heating a payload capsule and providing wing anti-icing during flight. A miniaturized recuperator captures exhaust heat and transfers it to a working fluid, which circulates through a controlled distribution network. This heated fluid can be directed either to an insulated payload capsule to maintain stable temperatures for sensitive materials or to wing-embedded channels to prevent ice formation. An electronic controller continuously monitors temperature, airflow, and icing conditions, adjusting valves and pump speed to regulate heat delivery. By reducing reliance on battery-powered heaters or chemical anti-icing methods, the system enhances endurance and ensures reliable UAV operation in cold or icing-prone environments.
