Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid spatio-temporal air quality forecasting system configured to provide accurate real-time prediction of Air Quality Index (AQI) through the integration of environmental sensing, statistical forecasting, deep learning, and quantum-inspired computational techniques. The system comprises an environmental data acquisition module, a preprocessing module, a feature engineering module, a hybrid prediction engine, an anomaly detection module, a visualization dashboard, and a cloud communication module. Environmental data collected from IoT sensors, weather stations, historical databases, and other monitoring sources are preprocessed to remove inconsistencies, normalize observations, and extract significant spatial and temporal features. The processed data are analyzed using a hybrid forecasting framework combining statistical models, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural networks, and quantum-inspired optimization algorithms to generate accurate AQI forecasts and pollutant concentration estimates. The system further detects abnormal pollution events, generates automated warning notifications, and presents interactive visualization of historical trends and future predictions through a web-based dashboard. The modular architecture supports integration with smart city infrastructures, environmental monitoring stations, cloud platforms, and future artificial intelligence technologies. The invention provides a reliable, scalable, and efficient environmental forecasting system that improves prediction accuracy, supports proactive pollution management, enhances public health protection, and assists governmental agencies and environmental organizations in making informed decisions for sustainable environmental planning.
