The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: A hybrid renewable energy system and method are disclosed for generating, converting, storing, and monitoring electrical energy from complementary bio- electrochemical and photovoltaic sources. The system comprises a micro-algae bio-electrochemical cell having a copper anode and zinc cathode immersed in an algae- rich aqueous medium, generating a low electromotive force; a solar photovoltaic panel operating as a secondary charging source; a two-stage voltage conversion unit comprising a DC-DC boost converter and a step-up power module for amplifying the bio-cell output to a level suitable for battery charging; a rechargeable lithium-ion battery bank for energy storage; a multi-output regulated power supply for distributing power to system components; and a microcontroller-based monitoring and control unit configured to measure voltage and current, compute instantaneous power, actuate a cooling load through a motor driver based on a predefined voltage threshold, and host a wireless dashboard for real-time display of system parameters. The invention provides a low-cost, modular, and scalable renewable energy harvesting apparatus suitable for remote monitoring applications.
