MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078277 A) filed by Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College on June 25, 2026, for Hybrid Renewable Energy Harvesting With Mppt And Sepic Converter For Solar Wind Integration.

Abstract: The titled invention discloses a hybrid renewable energy harvesting system to improve energy extraction and power management from renewable energy sources. The system comprises renewable energy sources (1) including solar and wind energy 10 generators to generate electrical energy. The voltage sensors (2) continuously acquire electrical parameters from the renewable energy sources (1) and transmit the data to the microcontroller (3). The microcontroller (3) supplies the processed data to the ANN-based MPPT controller (4), which determines the optimum operating condition and generates a duty cycle for controlling the SEPIC converter (5). The SEPIC 15 converter (5) performs both step-up and step-down voltage conversion to maintain a regulated output voltage under varying input conditions. The regulated output is supplied to the AC inverter (6) for conversion into AC power and subsequently delivered to the energy storage/load interface (7). The intelligent control architecture enables real-time adaptation to changing environmental conditions, maximizes power 20 extraction, improves energy conversion efficiency, reduces power losses, and enhances overall system stability and reliability.
