Abstract: ABSTRACT HYBRID MULTI-SENSING DUAL-AXIS SOLAR TRACKING SYSTEM USING EPHEMERIS- BASED AND SENSOR-DRIVEN INTELLIGENT CONTROL The present invention relates to a hybrid solar tracking system configured to optimize the orientation of a solar panel using a combination of sensor-based inputs and ephemeris-based sun position calculations. The system comprises light-dependent resistor (LDR) sensors arranged in a quadrant configuration, an irradiance sensor, a microcontroller, and an edge computing unit for calculating sun position using geographical and temporal parameters. The microcontroller performs sensor data fusion by integrating real-time sensor inputs with computed sun position data to determine optimal panel alignment. A dual-axis tracking mechanism, including azimuth and elevation motors, adjusts the solar panel position accordingly. The system further incorporates decision logic to minimize unnecessary movement and reduce power consumption. By combining predictive and real-time inputs, the invention enhances solar energy harvesting efficiency, improves reliability under varying environmental conditions, and extends mechanical lifespan.
