MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621084504 A) filed by Lakshmi Narain College Of Technology Excellence on July 09, 2026, for Hybrid Metamaterial-Based Ultra-Wideband Antenna.

Inventors include Rajdeep Shrivastava; and Dr. Deepak Soni.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: A hybrid metamaterial-based ultra-wideband antenna, comprising a dielectric substrate 101 having a first surface and a second surface formed from a low-loss substrate material to provide structural support and stable electromagnetic propagation, a conductive radiating patch 102 for radiating electromagnetic waves over an ultra-wideband frequency range, a feeding arrangement for exciting the conductive radiating patch 102 through one of a microstrip feed line 103 and a coplanar waveguide feed, a ground plane 401 comprising at least one of a partial ground plane and a defected ground structure 202 to enhance impedance bandwidth and optimize return current distribution, and a hybrid metamaterial arrangement 201 to improve at least one of gain, radiation efficiency, impedance matching, bandwidth performance, and surface wave suppression over an ultra-wideband operating frequency range, thereby enabling enhanced antenna performance for high-frequency wireless communication systems.
