Abstract: ABSTRACT HYBRID ISOLATION FOREST AND SPECTRAL ANALYSIS SYSTEM FOR REAL-TIME WATER QUALITY ANOMALY DETECTION The present invention discloses a system (100) and method for real-time anomaly detection in water quality monitoring. The system (100) comprises a multi-parameter sensor array (120) for acquiring measurements of conductivity, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen; a data processing and augmentation module (130) for data validation and synthetic anomaly injection to generate a hybrid training dataset; an Isolation Forest anomaly detection model (140) trained on the hybrid dataset for generating anomaly scores; a spectral density analysis module (150) for computing the power spectral density distribution of anomaly scores and determining an optimal threshold; a correlation heatmap module (160) for computing inter-parameter correlations to contextualize detected anomalies; and an alert and reporting engine (170) for generating real-time alerts. The system achieves an accuracy of 93.5%, precision of 100%, recall of 83.3%, and an F1 score of 90.9%, enabling reliable automated contamination detection for municipal, industrial, and environmental water monitoring applications.
