The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid inclined–vertical pile arrangement with optimized load sharing zones for eccentric load resistant piled raft foundations. The invention comprises a reinforced concrete raft (102) supported by inclined piles (104) and vertical piles (106) extending below the ground surface (108). The inclined piles (104) are strategically positioned within high-moment load sharing zones (122), while the vertical piles (106) are positioned within axial load sharing zones (124) to optimize soil–pile–raft interaction and redistribute eccentric structural loads. Under eccentric loading, the inclined piles develop combined axial and lateral resistance to counteract overturning moments, whereas the vertical piles primarily resist axial compressive loads. The hybrid arrangement reduces differential settlement, foundation rotation, localized stress concentration, and non-uniform soil pressure while improving bearing capacity, load transfer efficiency, and structural stability without substantially increasing the number of piles. The invention is applicable to high-rise buildings, bridges, industrial structures, wind turbine foundations, offshore platforms, transmission towers, and other infrastructure subjected to eccentric or combined loading, providing an economical, scalable, and high-performance foundation system.
