Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid fiber reinforced polyester composite comprising Grewia optiva fibers and basalt fibers embedded within a polyester resin matrix. The composite is designed to provide enhanced hardness, wear resistance, and mechanical performance for structural and industrial applications. Grewia optiva fibers contribute to lightweight and sustainable reinforcement, while basalt fibers improve strength, durability, and abrasion resistance. The composite may be manufactured by preparing the fibers, mixing them with polyester resin, molding, and curing to obtain a hardened composite structure. The synergistic effect of the hybrid reinforcement improves tribological and mechanical properties compared to conventional polyester composites. The invention is suitable for use in automotive components, construction panels, machine parts, transportation structures, and other wear-resistant engineering applications.
