Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid embedded–host control architecture for automatic vehicle side mirror positioning that integrates sensor acquisition, embedded processing, host-side prediction, serial communication, and servo actuation into a modular control system. The system employs an ESP-WROOM-32 microcontroller as an embedded controller for acquiring driver-related measurements and controlling the mirror actuator, while a host computer executes the prediction and user-interface functions. A height-related measurement obtained by the sensing system is transmitted from the embedded controller to the host computer through a delimiter-based serial communication protocol. The host-side prediction system processes the received measurement and determines a suitable mirror-angle value, which is subsequently transmitted back to the ESP32. The received angle is validated by the embedded controller before being converted into an actuator command for positioning the side mirror. The architecture separates low-level sensing and actuation from higher-level prediction, allowing the prediction model to be retrained or replaced without substantially modifying the embedded control functions. The proposed system therefore provides a modular, flexible, and efficient embedded–host control architecture for integrating sensing, data processing, prediction, communication, and automatic vehicle mirror positioning.
