Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid electric dumper system incorporating overhead-wire power collection and onboard battery storage for electric propulsion. The system comprises an overhead electrical conductor, a pantograph-based current collection assembly, an electric traction motor, a battery unit, motor driver circuitry, and a microcontroller-based control unit. The pantograph collects electrical energy from the overhead conductor, which is utilized to operate the traction motor and charge the onboard battery through suitable electrical circuitry. When overhead electrical power is unavailable, the battery supplies energy to support continued vehicle operation. The control unit coordinates power distribution, battery charging, motor operation, and pantograph actuation. A wireless communication module may further facilitate remote monitoring and control. The proposed system provides an integrated arrangement for improving power-supply flexibility and supporting efficient electric transportation across electrified and non-electrified sections.
