The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a hybrid fiber reinforced polymer composite comprising basalt fibers, snake grass natural fibers, nano-silica particles and a polymer matrix for automotive trim applications. The basalt fibers provide enhanced mechanical strength and durability, while snake grass fibers reduce overall weight and improve sustainability. Nano-silica particles dispersed within the polymer matrix improve interfacial bonding, reduce crack propagation and enhance structural integrity. The composite is fabricated using hand lay-up followed by compression molding and curing. The developed composite exhibits improved tensile strength, flexural strength, impact resistance and interlaminar shear strength suitable for lightweight automotive and industrial applications.
