Abstract: HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST (HARQ) RETRANSMISSION A method includes performing, by a transmitting entity, a first transmission over a communication channel, receiving from a receiving entity, an indication of a channel quality for the communication channel, determining, based on the indication of the channel quality, a block error rate (BLER) lower-bound for the communication channel, determining, based on the BLER lower-bound, a number of bits for one or more Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) retransmissions associated with the first transmission, and performing a HARQ retransmission to the receiving entity based on the determined number of bits for the one or more HARQ retransmissions.
