Abstract: A hybrid AI-Quantum clinical decision support system (100) for adverse transfusion reaction detection is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a clinical data input module (102), a preprocessing and normalization layer (104), a transformer-based natural language processing engine (106), a multimodal feature fusion layer (108), a quantum variational circuit module (110), a hybrid artificial intelligence classifier (112), a rule-based clinical validation engine (114), and an automated reporting module (116). The natural language processing engine (106) generates contextual text embeddings from symptom narratives, while the multimodal feature fusion layer (108) combines the contextual text embeddings with structured clinical features. The quantum variational circuit module (110) performs quantum-enhanced feature transformation and supplies quantum-transformed features to the hybrid artificial intelligence classifier (112). The rule-based clinical validation engine (114) validates classification outputs using predefined clinical criteria. The automated reporting module (116) generates a transfusion reaction reporting form based on validated classification outputs and associated clinical information.
