MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641107784 A) filed by Pragati Engineering College on September 08, 2026, for Human-Robot Cooperative Smart Exoskeleton.
Inventors include Mrs. Aravinda Karri; Mr. N Raghuveer; Mr. V V N Sarath; and Mr. Akella Yeswanth.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The essence of the invention is in the Human-Robot Cooperative Smart Exoskeleton, the intelligent system that allows adapting to the requirements of the person while ensuring the necessary quality and safety of assistance. The invention is equipped with various types of sensors, including those that monitor muscle activity, movement, force, and joint angle, thus enabling the exoskeleton to recognize the current movements of the human user. Artificial intelligence processes this information, predicting the user’s intended movements and determining the appropriate level of assistance to be provided. Furthermore, the invention utilizes the Digital Twin to continuously track and evaluate the user’s movements, comparing them to the desired ones in order to optimize the exoskeleton’s performance and adaptability. This innovative technology is particularly advantageous as it actively reduces the risk of injury and minimizes muscular effort, ensuring comfortable and effortless movements at all times. The described smart exoskeleton can be applied in multiple areas, including human-robot cooperation, rehabilitation processes, and the industrial sector, among others. It effectively eliminates the shortcomings associated with regular exoskeletons by introducing a dynamic and adaptive mode of operation. The system ensures the most suitable level of assistance to the user, as well as the highest degree of convenience and safety, thus guaranteeing its high efficiency and versatility in practice.
