Abstract: A hub motor wheel assembly (100) is disclosed. The hub motor wheel assembly (100) comprises: a stator assembly (110) adapted to remain stationary relative to an axle (104) extending along a central axis (102); a rotor assembly (120) arranged radially outward of the stator assembly (110) and adapted to rotate relative thereto; and a roto ring (130) is disposed around and coupled to the rotor assembly (120). The roto ring (130) comprises an annular body (132) disposed about the central axis (102) and a plurality of rim mounting lugs (134) circumferentially disposed on and extending radially outward from the annular body (132). The annular body (132) and the plurality of rim mounting lugs (134) are formed as a unitary component. A removable rim (140) is detachably coupled to the plurality of rim mounting lugs (134) and is selectively removable from the roto ring (130) independently of the rotor assembly (120). FIG. 1A
