MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202623111357 A) filed by Deepak Pathania on September 17, 2026, for Hover-To-Cruise Transition System For A Vertical Take-Off And Landing Aircraft.

Inventor includes Pathania, Deepak.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A hover-to-cruise transition system for a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft includes a monolithic rotatable assembly (102) having at least one wing (104), one or more rotor-supporting structures (106), and two or more fixed or variable-pitch rotors (108). The wing (104), rotor-supporting structures (106), and rotors (108) are mechanically integrated and configured to rotate together as a single unit relative to a fuselage (110). Rotation of the monolithic rotatable assembly (102) transforms the aircraft between a hover configuration (H), in which the rotors (108) provide substantially vertical thrust, and a cruise configuration (C), in which the rotors (108) provide substantially forward propulsive thrust. The rotors (108) may be positioned at respective stations along the rotor-supporting structures (106) and may vary in pitch in case of variable pitch rotors) during the transition to control thrust as the orientation of the rotor axes changes. The monolithic rotatable assembly (102) may be rotated through a range extending between approximately 0° and 120° to accommodate different flight configurations and transition conditions.
