MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647110606 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation on September 15, 2026, for Hot-Pressed Member And Steel Sheet For Hot Pressing.
Inventors include Nishiike Ryoto; Sato Rinta; Makimizu Yoichi; Hata Kentaro; and Otsuka Shinji.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hot-pressed member that uses an Al-system-plated steel sheet and that has a tensile strength at least in the 1.8 GPa class, that is, at least 1760 MPa, and that exhibits an excellent resistance to hydrogen embrittlement. This hot-pressed member comprises a steel sheet and a coating layer disposed on at least one surface of the steel sheet, wherein the coating layer has a component composition containing, in mass%, Si : 3.0 to 15.0%, Fe : not more than 55.0%, and at least one selection from Mg : 0.10 to 5.0% and Ca : 0.005 to 1.0%, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities. For the hot-pressed member, the ratio (Lr/L0) of the length L0 in the direction parallel to the surface of the steel plate divided into the surface line length Lr of the coating layer corresponding to L0 satisfies Lr/L0 1.10; the tensile strength is at least 1760 MPa; and the number of days until cracking is at least 40 days in an evaluation of the delayed fracture characteristics of the metal material.
