Abstract: A gate (10) includes a gate post (14) and a gate frame (12). The gate frame (12) includes an axial member (30) extending along an axis of rotation (32) of the gate frame (12). The gate (10) further includes a hinge assembly (16) pivotally coupling the gate frame (12) to the gate post (14). The hinge assembly (16) includes an end cap (36) having a flange portion (37) fixedly coupled to the gate post (14) and a shaft portion (44) extending into the axial member (30) of the gate frame (12). The end cap (36) also includes one or more prongs (49, 50) extending from the shaft portion (44) internally into the axial member (30) substantially parallel to the axis of rotation (32). Furthermore, the hinge assembly (16) includes a rod (38) extending laterally through the axial member (30) of the gate frame (12).
