Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a hill area windmill real-time condition monitoring and intelligent protection system (100) comprising a sensor unit (102) configured to sense turbine speed, vibration, temperature, voltage, and wind speed; a controller (104) configured to process the sensed parameters; a LoRa transmitter (106) configured to transmit the processed parameters through a bidirectional LoRa communication link (108); and a base station (110) configured to receive, display, record, and analyse the transmitted parameters. A fault detection and alert unit (112) detects abnormal operating conditions based on predetermined threshold limits and generates an alert. A protection command generation unit (114) generates a protection command, received by a LoRa receiver (116) at the wind turbine. A relay protection unit (118) is actuated by the controller (104) to perform turbine protection actuation (120). The system enables real-time monitoring and remote protective control of wind turbines in remote and hilly terrains. The figure associated with abstract is Fig. 1.
