Abstract: The presented invention pertains to a High Voltage Quadratic Gain DC-DC Converter (HVQGC) tailored for renewable energy systems that demand high voltage gain with fewer components and enhanced efficiency. This converter utilizes a double-inductor, single switch configuration, incorporating five capacitors and six diodes to achieve a quadratic voltage gain. This design allows the output voltage to be nearly ten times the input voltage, even with a moderate duty cycle of 0.5. It ensures a continuous input current without ripples and keeps the voltage stress on the power switch within the output voltage range, thereby improving reliability and minimizing switching losses. The HVQGC is ideal for use with photovoltaic panels or fuel cells, delivering a stable high-voltage DC output for applications like battery charging systems and DC micro grids, while maintaining low power loss and stable output voltage operation.
