Abstract: The invention relates to metallurgy, and more particularly to titanium-based alloys that can be used for manufacturing a wide range of high-strength semi-finished products, preferably stamped or forged parts, sheets, plates, billets and bars, inter alia, those having large dimensions, as well as semi-finished products for the manufacture of parts for use at high temperatures, which can be used in the aerospace, energy and chemical industries, as well as in mechanical engineering and other industrial sectors. A high-strength titanium-based alloy contains: 5.0-7.0 wt% aluminium, 6.0-12.0 wt% molybdenum, 2.0-6.5 wt% niobium, 2.5-4.5 wt% tungsten, 0.1- 0.3 wt% silicon, not more than 0.2 wt% iron, not more than 0.17 wt% oxygen, not more than 0.05 wt% carbon, not more than 0.01 wt% nitrogen, not more than 0.01 wt% hydrogen, and the balance titanium and incidental impurities. The alloy is characterized in that it exhibits high strength together with satisfactory plasticity, as well as improved creep resistance and oxidation resistance.
