Inventors include Okano, Hiroshi; Yussalla, Vanadia, Irisca; Inoue, Naho; Eguchi, Kenichiro; and Takano, Toshio.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: This high-pressure tank stores, inside a tank body, a mixed gas that contains natural gas and hydrogen, and that contains more than 2% hydrogen by volume. The tank body includes: a cylindrical part extending in a first direction; and a dome part connected to both ends of the cylindrical part in the first direction. The steel material constituting the tank body has a tensile strength TS of 850 MPa or higher, has a structure in which 95% or more by area ratio is tempered martensite, and includes carbides of 100 nm or less scattered in the metal structure as precipitates. The high-pressure tank has a strength of 11250 cycles or more in crack progress analysis, suppresses the influence of hydrogen embrittlement in metal, ensures gas storage capacity, and has a reduced weight.
