Abstract: High pressure Control valve cage cleaning procedure is an economical and safe maintenance practice adopted to clean the chocked or contaminated cage to improve the flow and pressure capacity of control valve and control valve operating at its design parameters. This cleaning procedure was tested multiple times and results are validated before putting the process for maintenance practice. All safety aspects and Hazards are mitigated while cleaning of cage through high pressure water or steam through Risk mitigation procedure. Multiple trails are taken with different cage to ensure safety, reliability, desired performance and corrected accordingly before final roll out. This novel project helped in elimination of repetitive control valve problems, reduce maintenance cost, improve equipment reliability and improve environmental and safety compliance. This improvement benefited in terms of Safety, cost, Quality, productivity, & cycle time reduction.
