The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography Assay Method for the Detection of Desmopressin Acetate from Solid Tablet Dosage Form The present invention discloses a novel High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method for the quantification of Desmopressin Acetate in tablet dosage forms. This method is designed to be precise, accurate, cost-effective, and time-efficient, addressing the growing need for robust analytical techniques in pharmaceutical quality control. Utilizing a Hypersil BDS C18 column and a gradient mobile phase comprising a buffer at pH 4.5 and acetonitrile, the method achieves a short retention time of 5–9 minutes with excellent sensitivity and specificity. The sample preparation involves dissolving tablets in a diluent, sonication, and filtration, enabling the analysis of multiple dosage strengths (0.1 mg and 0.2 mg). The method meets stringent system suitability criteria, including tailing factor, theoretical plate count, and relative standard deviation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. By providing a reliable and efficient approach for the routine analysis of Desmopressin Acetate, this invention enhances the quality assurance process, ensuring the safety, efficacy, and consistency of pharmaceutical formulations.
