Inventor includes Rajib Saha.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: HIGH HARDNESS FORMABLE WEAR RESISTANT STEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THEREOF The present invention relates to a high hardness formable wear resistant steel comprising the following composition expressed in weight %: (C): 0.09% - 0.11%, (Mn): 1.9% - 2.1%, (Cr): 0.02-0.04%, (Si): 0.08% - 0.11%, (S): 0.002% - 0.01%, (P): 0.02% - 0.04%, (Ti): 0.09% - 0.11%, (V): 0.17 – 0.23, (Nb): 0.03-0.05%, (Mo): 0.05% - 0.09%, (Al): 0.02 – 0.05%, (N): 0.004 – 0.01 %, and the remaining being substantially iron and incidental impurities. The high hardness formable wear resistant steel comprises a microstructure of less than 92 to 95 % ferrite and 5 to 8% mixture of pearlite and bainitic phase. The high hardness formable wear resistant steel exhibits a yield strength (YS) of more than 800 - 840 MPa, ultimate tensile strength (UTS) 870 - 920 MPa, hardness in the range of 300-320 VHN, wear loss in the range of 2 – 2.05 grams, and Elongation – 14 - 18%.
