MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611100520 A) filed by Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed To Be University on August 20, 2026, for High-Gain A-Source Inverter Incorporating A Switched-Capacitor Network.
Inventor includes Aman Ganesh.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a high-gain A-source inverter incorporating a switched-capacitor network for enhanced DC-link voltage generation. The inverter comprises a DC source, a coupled-inductor A-source structure, an impedance network having capacitors and diodes, a switched-capacitor network and an inverter bridge. The switched-capacitor network comprises a controllable semiconductor switch, a switched capacitor and a diode coupled to a capacitor-junction region of the impedance network. During a shoot-through interval, magnetic energy is stored in the coupled-inductor structure. During a transition interval following the shoot- through interval, a portion of the stored energy is transferred to the switched capacitor. During a subsequent non-shoot-through interval, the stored capacitive energy is transferred toward the DC-link through the diode. Coordinated magnetic and capacitive energy transfer enhances voltage boosting while controlling current and voltage excursions within the inverter. The topology is applicable to renewable-energy systems, fuel-cell interfaces, DC microgrids and other high-gain DC-AC conversion applications.
