Abstract: Electroencephalography (EEG) is a widely used technique for monitoring brain activity in clinical, research, and neurotechnology applications. Traditional high-density EEG systems provide detailed spatial resolution but often require lengthy setup times, complex electrode placement, and skilled personnel, limiting their practicality in real-world and time-sensitive environments. This project proposes the development of a high-density EEG electrode system with reduced setup time, designed to improve usability without compromising signal quality. The system integrates compact and lightweight hardware components, including an ESP32 microcontroller, BioAmp EEG amplifier, and optimized electrode probes arranged in an efficient configuration. A simplified wearable design replaces conventional cap-based systems with an easy-to-position structure, minimizing preparation effort and user discomfort. The proposed solution aims to enable faster deployment, making EEG technology more accessible for applications such as brain-computer interfaces (BCD, mental health monitoring, neurofeedback therapy, and portable diagnostics. By reducing setup complexity while maintaining reliable signal acquisition, this system enhances the practicality and scalability of high-density EEG in both clinical and home environments.
