MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647070632 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated on June 05, 2026, for High-Band Sensing Operation With User Equipment Camped In Low-Band.

Inventors include Huang, Min; Yin, Mingxi; Zheng, Ruiming; Zhang, Juan; Wei, Chao; and Xu, Hao.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to sensing operations associated with a user equipment (UE) configured with a capability to communicate in a first (lower) frequency band with a first wireless network component and a second (higher) frequency band with a second wireless network component. In an aspect, the UE performs sensing in the second (higher) frequency band associated with the second wireless network component, while reporting a result of the sensing in the first (lower) frequency band to the first wireless network component. Such aspects may provide various technical advantages, such as expanding the region where the UE may perform high-accuracy sensing in the second (higher) frequency band, which may improve sensing accuracy, reduce sensing latency, and so on.
