Abstract: The present invention discloses a hierarchical hybrid Internet of Things (IoT)-based system for monitoring, controlling, fault detection, and maintenance management of streetlight infrastructure. The system comprises intelligent pole monitoring nodes, street aggregation nodes, an administrative infrastructure gateway, and a centralized monitoring platform interconnected through hybrid communication networks. The system enables continuous monitoring of operational parameters, automated fault localization, resilient data communication, local data storage during communication outages, and automatic synchronization upon restoration of connectivity. The invention further provides secure local maintenance access, centralized analytics, and maintenance accountability metrics, thereby improving infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, public safety, and governance of geographically distributed streetlight networks.
