Abstract: The present invention discloses a swarm-based modular robotic system designed for precision agriculture and intelligent farm management through coordinated autonomous robotic operation. The system comprises multiple lightweight robotic units equipped with sensors, onboard processing modules, wireless communication systems, and interchangeable agricultural tools capable of performing operations including seeding, spraying, irrigation, crop monitoring, and weed management with improved precision and reduced manual intervention. The robotic units collect real-time soil and crop information including moisture content, temperature, nutrient levels, humidity, and plant health conditions through integrated sensing modules and imaging systems. The collected data is processed using onboard intelligent computing systems to identify field variations and determine location-specific agricultural requirements. Based on the processed information, the robotic units collaboratively perform targeted farming operations while minimizing excessive use of water, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural resources. The invention further operates through a swarm communication and coordination mechanism in which the robotic units exchange operational data, allocate tasks dynamically, avoid collisions, and optimize field coverage for efficient agricultural operation. The modular attachment mechanism enables different agricultural tools to be interchangeably mounted on a common robotic platform, thereby increasing operational flexibility and reducing equipment cost. The lightweight robotic structure minimizes soil compaction commonly caused by conventional heavy agricultural machinery, thereby improving soil health and long-term crop productivity.
