Abstract: The present invention relates to a blockchain-based system and method for managing inheritable digital tokens associated with illness-triggered health assurance. The system generates a unique inheritable blockchain token associated with a token holder, an assurance value, one or more designated beneficiaries, and a programmable health-related triggering condition. A smart contract maintains token-state information and defines conditions under which a verified health event causes a succession or settlement operation. An authorized health-event verification source provides a cryptographically authenticated credential indicating that a predefined qualifying condition has been satisfied, without requiring sensitive medical records to be stored directly on the blockchain. A verification gateway validates the credential and provides the verified event to the smart contract. Upon satisfaction of the triggering condition, the token transitions to a corresponding settlement state and an assurance entitlement is transferred or released to one or more verified beneficiaries according to predetermined succession rules. The system may further include reserve management, privacy-preserving verification, beneficiary succession, dispute handling, cryptographic identity authentication, transfer restrictions, and auditable settlement mechanisms. The invention provides a programmable digital architecture for associating verified health-related events with controlled beneficiary succession while maintaining separation between sensitive health information and immutable blockchain records.
