The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a herbal wound healing formulation and method of its production. The method comprises separately air-drying leaves of Curcuma longa, Mimosa pudica, Mikania micrantha, Lantana camara, and Ageratum conyzoides, followed by separately grinding the dried leaves to obtain corresponding leaf powders. Each leaf powder is separately soaked in methanol at a weight-to-volume ratio of 1:5 for 48–72 hours and filtered to recover a corresponding filtrate. The recovered filtrates are heated in a water bath maintained at 45°C for 2–3 days to evaporate the methanol and obtain concentrated leaf extracts. Subsequently, 5 wt% of the concentrated leaf extracts, including 1 wt% each of the five plant extracts, are homogenized with 95 wt% of a pharmaceutically acceptable base to produce the herbal wound healing formulation. The synergistic combination of the herbal extracts provides enhanced antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and tissue regenerative properties, thereby promoting accelerated wound contraction, reduced necrotic tissue formation, improved collagen deposition, and faster wound healing.
