Abstract: TITLE OF THE INVENTION Herbal Mouth-Refreshing Spray Composition Comprising Ethanolic Fruit Extract of Morinda Citrifolia for Oral Health Management ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention discloses a mouth-refreshing spray incorporating an ethanolic fruit extract of Morinda citrifolia (noni) for oral care. The ethanolic extract, richest in flavonoids, alkaloids, anThraquinones, polyphenols, saponins, steroids, and terpenoids, was incorporated at 3% (Fl), 5% (F2), and 10% (F3) into a biocompatible spray base containing xylitol, propylene glycol, and vitamin E. All formulations exhibited clarity, uniform spray pattern, and a physiologically compatible pH of 6.2-7.4. Antioxidant evaluation yielded ICso values of204.06 ± 4.25 gg/mL (DPPH), 229.22 ± 5.17 gg/rnL (H2O2), and 227.01 ± 4.98 gg/mL (NO). The F3 formulation demonstrated superior antimicrobial activity against Streptococcus miitans (ZOI; 20 mm; MIC: 0.156 mg/mL) and Candida albicans (ZOI: 11 mm; MIC: 0.039 mg/mL). Twelve-week stability testing confirmed retention of appearance, pH, spray uniformity, and antimicrobial efficacy. The invention offers a safe, natural, and effective alternative to synthetic oral hygiene sprays, suitable for routine clinical application.
