Abstract: The present invention relates to a herbal oral formulation (700) in the form of a gummy or lozenge for managing xerostomia-associated oral dryness. The formulation (700) comprises chia seed mucilage (202), Chrysopogon zizanioides extract (208), at least one gelling agent selected from gelatin, pectin, or a combination thereof (212), stevia (210), an acidulant, and purified water. The chia seed mucilage (202) forms a moisture-retaining hydrophilic matrix adapted to release mucilage during gradual dissolution in salivary conditions. The Chrysopogon zizanioides extract (208) supports antimicrobial oral hygiene, while the gelling agent (212) provides a stable chewable matrix. The formulation (700) maintains an oral-compatible pH, provides moisture retention on oral mucosa, lubricates oral tissues, and is prepared by extraction, mixing, pH adjustment, molding, solidification, demolding, and packaging.
