Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a herbal formulation comprising: 30 to 80 % w/w of a base plant extract comprising at least one herb or their extract; 0.2 to 10 % w/w of glycerol; 0.1 to 10 % w/w of flavoring oil; 0.1 to 25 % w/w of at least one additive; and rest being water. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparation of a herbal formulation comprising: a) processing at least one plant herb to obtain a herb powder mixture; b) extracting the herb powder mixture of step a) with a solvent ranging from 5 to 80% v/v under condition followed by separation by filtration or centrifuge to obtain a residual plant and a liquid extract; c) processing alternatively the total mixture of plant powders in desired ration is subjected to hydro-distillation to obtain an essential oil; d) taking the filtrate of step b) and the essential oil in step c) as a base plant extract followed by fortification of 30 to 80 % w/w of the base plant extract by 0.2 to 10 % w/w of glycerol; 0.1 to 10 % w/w of flavoring oil; 0.1 to 25 % w/w of at least one additive; and rest being water to obtain a mixture; and e) mixing the mixture of step d) in a mixer under condition to obtain a formulation.
