Abstract: Abstract The present work produced herbal composite gel made from Chitosan and Linum usitatissimum seeds reinforced with phytochemicals from stem extracts of Nelumbo nucifera. Ethanolic extracts of stem of Nelumbo nucifera,^ Chitosan (1%), seeds of Linum usitatissimum^ Ethylene glycol were mixed: to prepare a composite gel. Therefore, the produced composite herbal gel was assessed for several in vitro evaluation tests and to determine the relevance of prepared combination for wound healing activity like antibacterial activity and physicochemical characterization techniques. The results revealed that the new combination of produced composite gel had exhibited greater antibacterial and anti-fungal activity. The physico-chemical characterization of the revealed that chemical composition used in the gel and the biocompatible nature of the formulation. Thus, gel can be used for several kinds of wounds and other biomedical purposes since it has been shown as a cost- effective, efficient healing gel.
