The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed is a helmet-integrated environmental hazard monitoring and reporting system for underground mining. A helmet shell supports a gas-sensing unit exposed to ambient mine air, an environmental sensing unit producing temperature and humidity measurements, and a controller coupled to the sensing units. Audible and visual warning indicators, a LoRa transceiver, and a rechargeable battery are carried by the helmet shell. The battery supplies the controller, sensing units, warning indicators, and LoRa transceiver. A remote monitoring station receives wireless transmissions from the LoRa transceiver. During operation, the controller evaluates sensed measurements against corresponding safety thresholds. When a measurement crosses a safety threshold, the controller activates the audible and visual warning indicators and causes the LoRa transceiver to transmit a hazard notification to the remote monitoring station, thereby providing local warning to the wearer and remote reporting of the detected environmental condition.
