MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617067637 A) filed by Innovative Sensor Technology Ist AG on May 29, 2026, for Heating Device, Method For Operating Same, And Aerosol-Generating Device.
Inventors include Schlpfer, Pascal; and Wolf, Stefan.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a heating device (1) comprising: - at least one heating element (100, 100') which comprises: i. a substrate (110); ii. a heating layer (120) which is applied onto the substrate (110); and iii. an expansion layer (130) which is applied onto the substrate (110) and covers the heating layer (120); and - an object (140) to be heated which is arranged with respect to the heating element (100, 100') such that in the deactivated state of the heating element (100, 100'), the object (140) is spaced from the expansion layer (130) or the substrate (110), wherein a second thermal expansion coefficient of the expansion layer (130) deviates from a first thermal expansion coefficient of the substrate (110), and the relative thicknesses of the substrate (110) and the expansion layer (130) are selected such that in the activated state of the heating element (100, 100'), an expansion (130) and/or a bending of the heating element (100, 100') occurs such that the spacing between the expansion layer (130), or the substrate (110), and the object (140) is overcome and a thermally-conductive contact is produced between the heating element (100, 100') and the object (140). The invention also relates to a method for operating a heating device (1) according to the invention and to a steam-generating device (2) which comprises the heating device (1) according to the invention.
