Abstract: Abstract A heat-controlled gutta-percha (GP) delivery pen featuring a compact, hand-held body and an integrated thermal control system. The system comprises a 12V heater, a K-type thermocouple positioned near the delivery tip, and an Arduino microcontroller. The microcontroller executes a Proportional-lntegral-Derivative (PID) control algorithm to precisely regulate the heater power based on the difference between a set-point temperature (e.g., 180.0^ C) and the measured temperature feedback. Safety is ensured through software-implemented over-temperature cutoffs (e.g., 210.0'^ C) and continuous operation timers. The pen allows for on-demand heating and controlled delivery of melted GP through a fine stainless-steel tip.
