The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a heat-responsive soft denture liner composition for application to the tissue-fitting surface of complete or partial dentures. The composition is based on a thermoresponsive polymer — preferably a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (pNIPAM) derivative or analogous Lower Critical Solution Temperature (LCST) polymer — formulated to exhibit a phase transition between a firm state and a soft, cushioning state within the clinically relevant temperature range of 30-36°C. Below the LCST (at ambient room temperature, approximately 20-25°C), the liner is relatively firm, facilitating easy cleaning, plaque removal, and hygienic maintenance. Above the LCST (at intraoral temperature, approximately 37°C), the polymer chains hydrate and the material softens significantly, providing superior cushioning, load distribution, and comfort for the denture-bearing mucosa during masticatory function. The invention addresses the longstanding clinical dilemma of balancing soft liner comfort with hygiene and durability.
