MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611073944 A) filed by Manav Rachna University on June 15, 2026, for Head And Neck Cancer Prognosis Appliance.
Inventors include Dr. Prinima; and Ms. Deepti Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a head and neck cancer prognosis appliance for patient survivability assessment. The appliance comprises a processing housing, an imaging input interface for receiving computed tomography scan data, a clinical data interface for receiving patient clinical parameters and a preprocessing unit stored in memory and executed by a processor for normalising scan data and encoding clinical parameters. A Capsule Network extraction unit generates spatial tumour representations from computed tomography scan data. A fusion layer combines the spatial tumour representations with encoded patient clinical parameters to form fused patient representations. A DenseNet121 prediction unit receives the fused patient representations and generates a survivability output. The appliance therefore processes imaging and clinical records through a coordinated data path in which spatial tumour representation and patient clinical context are used together for survivability assessment.
