Inventors include Dr. Urmila Pilania; Dr. Manoj Kumar; Dr. Roshi Saxena; Mr. Jai Gupta; and Mr. Drish Bhalla.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a hazard-predictive rider helmet comprising a helmet body, a forward-facing imaging unit configured to capture image data of a road region ahead of a rider, an inertial sensing unit configured to generate motion data corresponding to vibration and movement experienced during travel, a processing unit operatively connected to the forward-facing imaging unit and the inertial sensing unit to jointly evaluate the image data and the motion data, determine presence of a road hazard ahead of the rider, and generate a hazard confirmation output based on a confidence condition, and an alert unit operatively connected to the processing unit to issue a directional rider alert identifying a positional relationship of the road hazard relative to a travel path of the rider.
