Abstract: A harvester accessory (10) for harvesting a pina (30) The harvester accessory (10) includes a support (20) adapted to attach to a core (32) of a plant (34) forming the basis for the pina (30) whereby the portions of the plant (34) above a base (36) of the core (36) are accessible for cutting;. The accessory further includes a moving mechanism (50) to move a cutter (70) and/or the support (20) relative to the other of the cutter (70) and the support (20) between a remote position Pr (as shown in Fig. 1) and a cutting position Pc (as shown in Fig. 4) for cutting the plant (34). Further provided is a tilt mechanism 40 to alter the angle of orientation s of the support (20) and/or the cutter (70) relative to the other of the support (20) and the cutter (70). A support rotator (22) is provided to rotate the support (20), whereby the support rotator (22) is adapted to expose different sides (38a,b) of the plant (34) to the cutter (70). The accessory also includes a cutter rotator (72) to rotate the cutter (70).
